Board ANNOUNCEMENT ! and DONATIONS ...

This board has been moved from its old host and admin to a new location.

I realize that some aspects of this board have been .. not up to par in recent years, but I have corrected the known issues that have driven members away in order to bring it back to the FORMULA VEE BOARD that we all once loved. Let's work together to return this board and all of its historical data, to *THE* place to go for information on FV.

Thanks for your support - let's all work to keep FV alive and well.

Just "exercise" the board and see if you run into any problems. I've never messed with ANY kind of board before and I had to make MASSIVE changes in the database to get it to work in this new location. I'm sure there are going to be issues - I just don't know what all they are. The "instructions" are not that great. This thread SHOULD be on the index page, but I haven't yet figured out how to put it there. Lots of other things to work out too.

The good news, I think, is that the email notifications seems to be FINALLY working. That's a good start and it also means that I'll be notified if anyone new registers so I can take care of it. Previously they got lost in the 20,000+ bogus spam registrations that were buried in the db.

Just "exercise" the board

OK, one item, the login allows you to be logged in automatically with a check box, but it doesn't work for me. I have to log in each time. No big deal but it is one thing I noticed doesn't work.

Now, wasn't there someplace to at least make a donation to this effort? If so, point me in the right direction and I'll do that.

Thanks - I'll take a look at the login issue when I get a chance. It's been happening to me too, but I thought it was just because I am admin. As for donations, you can certainly donate to the support of this board by sending something to Steve@WedgeRacing.com via PayPal... or even by sending a check directly to me (I can send an address via direct email or PM). I have not yet discovered all of the costs (beyond HOURS... and HOURS... and HOURS) of this site, but felt that we needed to give it another chance. I hope it works for all. Please bear with me as I work through all the issues.

I would encourage others to do the same. Managing this transformation is both time consuming and does come at a cost.

I've gotten way more from this board than the small donation.

I should add that if there is anyone out there that would like to volunteer some TIME to help keep all this stuff working, please feel free to contact me by email.
